Instead of your traditional, I sent, we sent web log from the weekend, here is a collection of photographs that do the “Boulder Bubble” justice.

No fear for this young bird while eating out of Jonny’s hand…
Rocky Mountain on Saturday was great and the conditions at Emerald Lake remain perfect. I went to the majority of Emerald Lake Boulders to check snow levels and this is the status:
Kind Traverse (v11) / Super Kind (V12) / Kind (V5) – perfect and topoutable.
Whispers of Wisdom (V10) – Ideal for climbing and the topout is bone dry.
Storm Shadow (V10/12) – With 5 minutes of digging it is climbable.
Hi Fi (V11) / Conquest (V12) / Large and Real Large (V9/10) / Tommy’s Arete (V8) – great condition and climbable, Tommy’s might need a 3 minute dig.
Veritas (V9/11/12) – Ben, Ryan S., and Ryan Y. cleaned the topout and it is climbable.
Next weekend we are planning on visiting Evans for some Area B searching and hopefully a solid effort on City Walls of Dying Dreams (V10), an old Cameron Cross highball. Despite the video being very poor quality, you can still get a feel for the height and beauty of this line, as well as the consequences of falling high on the boulder. When Johnny G. falls in the video he breaks his leg. Hopefully the snow will be nice and deep making for a flat landing. Looking forward to it!
